EZIZ Move

A New and Enhanced EZIZ Experience is Coming This May!

We are thrilled to announce that the California Department of Public Health is finalizing a major upgrade to the EZIZ website and training platform. Currently slated for launch in mid-May, this transition will provide a more secure, streamlined, and user-friendly experience. 

What’s New for the EZIZ Website? 

We are implementing several improvements to make your experience more efficient: 

  • Enhanced Navigation: A modernized menu makes finding what you need faster than ever. 
  • Curated Content: We’ve decluttered our resource library, ensuring you only see the most relevant and up-to-date documents. 
  • Seamless Transition: Existing links will automatically redirect to the new site, so your saved bookmarks will still work! 

What’s New for the EZIZ Training Platform? 

To provide the highest level of security, EZIZ trainings are moving to a brand-new infrastructure (the training content has not changed). Please note that previous Learning Histories and in-progress lessons will not migrate to the new platform.  

To ensure a smooth transition, please take the following steps: 

  • Complete Your Progress: Please finish all “In-Progress” lessons by May 8th. We recommend not starting new lessons after this date unless you can complete them by the deadline. 
  • Learning History: As we move to a more secure system, learning history from this current site will not transfer. We encourage you to download and save your certificates and account details for your future reference. 
  • Fresh Start: After the new site launches, all users who take the training will create a new account using a unique email address.  In your new account, all lessons will be set to the starting point.   

For California Vaccine Program Providers (Vaccines for Children, Vaccines for Adults, LHD 317, State General Funds): 

  • No Retakes Necessary: If you have already completed your required training, no further action is needed until your next recertification period. 
  • myCAvax Integration: The myCAvax system will continue to show lesson completion dates for all staff linked to your PIN. (If your account is not linked in myCAvax, save your current EZIZ username just in case you need to be added before recertification.) 
  • Verification: Simply ensure your vaccine management plans are updated with your current training history prior to the move.
